Israeli settlers carry out wave of attacks across occupied West Bank
Israeli settlers carried out a series of attacks, land seizures and property violations across the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, with local sources reporting that several incidents occurred under the protection or presence of Israeli forces.
In the Nablus area, settlers and Israeli forces continued to surround three Palestinian homes in the Ras al-Ain mountain area of Qusra, south of Nablus, for the 10th consecutive day, according to local sources.
In the nearby village of Zeita Jamma'in, southwest of Nablus, another group of settlers reportedly vandalized several Palestinian vehicles.
Several incidents were also reported in the Ramallah governorate.
Settlers reportedly set fire to large areas of Palestinian-owned land on the outskirts of Turmus Ayya, north of Ramallah. Fires also spread toward Palestinian homes in the eastern part of al-Mughayir village and along the Marj Sia road connecting al-Mughayir with Abu Falah.
Meanwhile, settlers carried out expansion works at an outpost established on Mount Mustafa al-Ali in Beitillu village, west of Ramallah.
In Burqa village, east of Ramallah, settlers reportedly established another structure by erecting a new tent in the al-Karm area, according to local sources.
In the Tubas governorate, settlers reportedly damaged a water pipeline supplying the Palestinian communities of Yarza and Ras al-Ahmar east of the city.
Settlers also carried out what local residents described as provocative tours in Khirbet Samra in the northern Jordan Valley.
In the Bethlehem area, settlers reportedly blocked a road and threw stones at Palestinian vehicles near the Efrat settlement, south of the city.
Other settlers reportedly established a new outpost on Palestinian land in the town of Nahalin, west of Bethlehem.
In the southern West Bank, settlers accompanied by Israeli forces reportedly expelled two Palestinian residents from their lands in the Huwara area east of Yatta, in the Hebron governorate.
The reported incidents are part of continuing tensions across the occupied West Bank, where Palestinians have faced increasing settler attacks, land seizures, property damage and restrictions on movement.
Palestinian officials and rights groups have repeatedly warned that the expansion of Israeli settlements and outposts, coupled with settler violence and the presence of Israeli forces, is contributing to the displacement of Palestinian communities and further entrenching Israel's control over occupied Palestinian territory.
