Iran to reopen embassy and consulate general in Saudi Arabia

The Embassy of Iran in Riyadh, alongside the country's Consulate General in Jeddah, and the Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, is poised to resume official operations this week.
The practical activities of the Embassy and Consulate General had already commenced before the departure of Iranian Hajj pilgrims, as confirmed by Nasser Kan'ani, spokesperson for the Iranian foreign ministry. To mark this momentous occasion, opening ceremonies will be graced by esteemed diplomats from Iran and Saudi Arabia.
In Riyadh, a diplomatic source revealed that the inauguration of the Iranian embassy is slated for Tuesday evening at 6:00 pm local time (1500 GMT). Notably, the newly appointed Iranian ambassador to Saudi Arabia will be present at the momentous event.
Following extensive negotiations facilitated by China, Iran and Saudi Arabia reached a landmark agreement on March 10, signifying the restoration of diplomatic relations and the reopening of their embassies and diplomatic missions.
