Herat hosts Turkish Consul General for educational cooperation talks

Sheikh Mawlana Islamjar, the Governor of Herat, held a meeting with the Turkish Consul General in Herat and a delegation from the Afghan-Turk educational board to discuss the ongoing academic programs of Afghan-Turk schools and explore avenues for expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of education.
The meeting was also attended by graduates and students who have pursued higher education in Türkiye. The Turkish Consul General and the Afghan-Turk education delegation outlined the scope of Afghan-Turk educational initiatives in Herat and expressed their appreciation for the support provided by the local government. They emphasized the importance of deepening cultural and educational ties between Afghanistan and Türkiye.
Governor Islamjar reaffirmed the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to supporting Afghan-Turk schools. He assured that the Herat administration would continue to cooperate with educational programs aimed at fostering quality learning opportunities for Afghan youth.
Addressing the students studying in Turkish universities, Governor Islamjar described them as the “future builders of the country” and encouraged them to return home equipped with knowledge and experience to contribute to Afghanistan’s development.
Several graduates and current students in Türkiye expressed their gratitude to both the Islamic Emirate and the Turkish government for facilitating their education. They pledged to use their acquired knowledge and skills to serve the future of Afghanistan.
