Gaza bleeds again: Israeli occupation massacres dozens in relentless bombing campaign

In the early hours of Thursday morning, the Israeli occupation forces unleashed yet another wave of deadly airstrikes across the besieged Gaza Strip, killing at least 15 Palestinians and wounding dozens more, as the genocide against the Palestinian people continues unabated since October 7th, 2023.
Among the latest victims were nine members of a single family, massacred while seeking shelter in a makeshift barracks for displaced persons near a water tank in the Al-Baraka area of Deir al-Balah. The Israeli army deliberately targeted the shelter, turning it into a graveyard.
Two more Palestinians were killed when an Israeli missile struck a tent housing displaced civilians in the Al-Sadaqa camp, also in Deir al-Balah, while five members of the Bakhit family lost their lives after occupation warplanes bombed their home in the Al-Saftawi area of northern Gaza.
Elsewhere in northern Gaza, Israeli airstrikes leveled the homes of the Maqat and Qanou families in the Zarqa neighborhood, killing everyone inside. Occupation forces also carried out a strike on Tal al-Zaatar in the Jabalia refugee camp, resulting in severe destruction.
In a brazen and criminal escalation, Israeli military vehicles stormed the courtyard of Al-Awda Hospital in Tal al-Zaatar, opening fire and setting fire to the tents of displaced families sheltering inside the hospital’s premises. The attack is part of a broader campaign that has seen dozens of hospitals and clinics rendered inoperable or deliberately targeted throughout the war.
Meanwhile, in the south, Israeli forces demolished several residential buildings in the Al-Qarara area, northeast of Khan Yunis, continuing their campaign to erase Palestinian communities from the map.
A massive fire also broke out in the Ragheb Tower in Gaza City’s Al-Karama neighborhood after it was directly hit. Civil defense crews, facing the destruction of roads and the absence of heavy equipment due to the blockade and constant bombardment, were forced to reach the fire on foot and battle the blaze with primitive tools.
The massacre in Gaza continues with chilling regularity. Since October 7, 2023, Israel’s genocidal assault has killed over 53,655 Palestinians and injured more than 121,950, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health. The overwhelming majority of the victims are civilians — including thousands of children, women, the elderly, and medics.
Entire neighborhoods have been flattened, hospitals turned into ruins, and schools reduced to ash. The siege has left families starving, hospitals without medicine, and displaced civilians with nowhere safe to go.
Despite global outcry and calls for a ceasefire, the Israeli regime continues its crimes with impunity, aided by silence and complicity from powerful Western governments. Meanwhile, the resilience of the Palestinian people endures in the face of devastation, as Gaza stands as both a humanitarian catastrophe and a powerful symbol of steadfast resistance. (ILKHA)
