Death toll in Gaza rises to 53,762 as Israeli attacks kill 104 more civilians in 24 hours

Hospitals across the Gaza Strip have received the bodies of 104 Palestinian civilians martyred in the past 24 hours following renewed Israeli airstrikes, the Gaza Health Ministry reported on Thursday.
Additionally, the bodies of three individuals who had previously been reported missing were recovered from under the rubble.
The ministry also confirmed that at least 247 other civilians were injured in the latest wave of Israeli attacks.
Since the Israeli occupation army resumed its brutal assault on Gaza on March 18, 2025, the total number of Palestinians killed has risen to 3,613, with 10,156 others wounded.
According to official data, the ongoing genocidal war launched by Israel on October 7, 2023, has now claimed the lives of 53,762 Palestinians, while the number of wounded has surged to 122,197.
Health authorities in Gaza continue efforts to retrieve the bodies of those still missing in various parts of the besieged territory, many believed to be trapped under debris in hard-to-reach areas due to ongoing bombardments and restricted access for rescue teams.
In a heartbreaking revelation, the health ministry also disclosed that 343 infants born during the war have tragically died shortly after birth. The causes include widespread power outages, severe shortages of neonatal incubators, and critical delays in medical response amid the collapse of Gaza’s healthcare infrastructure.
Human rights groups have warned of a deepening humanitarian catastrophe as Gaza’s health system teeters on the brink of collapse, under a relentless siege and aerial campaign that continues to devastate civilian life. (ILKHA)
