Eight dead after boat capsizes in China's Guizhou Province

Tragedy struck in southwest China's Guizhou Province as eight people lost their lives after a boat capsized on the Pingzheng River in Congjiang County.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Monday, according to local authorities.
The vessel, a privately-operated boat, had 13 people on board when it capsized. Five survivors were rescued and are reported to be in stable condition. Rescue operations were promptly carried out, with the local authorities confirming the fatalities.
The cause of the capsizing is currently under investigation, and further details are expected to be released by the authorities. (ILKHA)
