Civilians targeted in ruthless US air assault on Yemeni cities

Yemen endured a new wave of American aggression on Saturday, as US warplanes launched a series of intense airstrikes across several provinces, causing widespread destruction and civilian injuries.
According to local sources, the airstrikes targeted Kamaran Island and the Ras Isa oil port in the al-Salif district, northwest of Hodeidah governorate along the Red Sea coast. The Ras Isa port, a crucial oil facility, was among the hardest hit areas.
Elsewhere, northern Yemen faced heavy bombardment. The US military carried out 10 airstrikes on the districts of Kitaf and al-Salem, as well as areas east of Saada city and its outskirts. In the al-Jawf governorate to the northeast, four airstrikes struck the Bart al-Anan district, while in Marib, the Medghal district was also targeted.
In the capital, Sanaa, US aircraft launched multiple airstrikes on the Sabeen and Bani Harith districts, striking both the southern and northern sectors of the city. Residential areas were hit, including a house near the Lebanese Hospital in the October 14 neighborhood and a neighborhood west of al-Rawda.
The Yemeni Ministry of Health confirmed that eight civilians, including two children, were injured in the bombing of the al-Rawda area in Bani Harith district.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, Jamal Amer, the Foreign Minister of the Sanaa government, announced that three Russian sailors were wounded during US airstrikes on a ship docked at Ras Isa port. Amer stated that American warplanes used a variety of missile munitions to prevent the unloading of a gasoline shipment, further worsening the already dire humanitarian situation.
The new escalation underscores the growing humanitarian toll of the US military campaign in Yemen, amid increasing calls for an end to the attacks targeting civilian infrastructure and populated areas. (ILKHA)
