Afghan FM Muttaqi meets Turkish envoy to deepen diplomatic ties

Afghan Foreign Minister Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi met with Turkish chargé d’affaires Cenk Unal in Kabul to discuss the ongoing development of diplomatic relations between Afghanistan and Türkiye, according to an official statement.
The high-level meeting focused on recent regional developments and mutual interests impacting both countries. The two officials also underscored the critical role of Türkiye’s humanitarian assistance in supporting the Afghan people during challenging times.
Minister Muttaqi expressed appreciation for Türkiye’s continued support and humanitarian outreach, which he said has had a meaningful and positive impact across the country. Ambassador Unal echoed the sentiment, affirming that Türkiye views its relationship with Afghanistan as not only evolving but also productive and constructive.
