70 Palestinian detainees arrive in Cairo after release

70 Palestinian prisoners who were released as part of a landmark Israel-Hamas prisoner exchange deal arrived in Cairo on Saturday night.
Hamas and Islamic Jihad delegations, alongside family members, greeted these heroes in Egypt, showcasing a significant victory against the occupation.
Zaher Jabarin, the Head of the Martyrs, Prisoners and Wounded Office in Hamas, celebrated the release, stating, "The liberation of our fighters within this deal is a testament to the unyielding spirit and resistance of the Palestinian people." He reaffirmed the commitment to the cause, promising, "Our resistance will not falter until every Palestinian prisoner is freed from the clutches of the oppressive regime."
The release included 200 Palestinian detainees on Saturday, many of whom had been imprisoned under harsh conditions for their resistance against occupation, with over half serving life sentences for defending their land. The fighters were strategically moved; 114 were freed from Ofer Prison and taken to Ramallah, 16 crossed into Gaza through Kerem Shalom, and the 70 in question were brought to Cairo to underscore international solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
This exchange not only highlights the resilience and unity of the Palestinian resistance but also brings to light the ongoing struggle for justice, freedom, and the right of return for all Palestinians. It serves as a beacon of hope and a reminder of the collective resolve to continue the fight until liberation is achieved for all. (ILKHA)
