HÜDA PAR Chairman mourns martyrdom of Afghan Minister in Kabul bombing
HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu has expressed profound sorrow and condemnation over the martyrdom of Khalil Rahman Haqqani, Minister of Refugees and Returnees of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and several of his colleagues in a terrorist attack on the ministry in Kabul.
In a message sent to the Embassy of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in Ankara, Yapıcıoğlu called the attack a deliberate attempt to destabilize Afghanistan. “I convey my deep sorrow for the terrorist attack against the Ministry of Migration, Refugees, and Repatriation of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan,” he stated. “This heinous act aims to undermine Afghanistan’s security and progress. I strongly condemn it.”
Quoting the Quran, he added: “Those who, when a calamity touches them, say: ‘To Allah belongs all that we have, and to Him alone do we return.’” He emphasized the resilience of the Afghan people and their leadership. “The Afghan people, who heroically resisted the imperialist forces that occupied their land, will undoubtedly frustrate these new plans aimed at sowing chaos and division.”
Yapıcıoğlu also paid tribute to Haqqani’s legacy, saying: “Khalil Rahman Haqqani was not just a leader; he was a symbol of Afghanistan’s resistance. He stood at the forefront of jihad for years, guiding his people through the struggle against occupation. His martyrdom is a profound loss for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and for all who value freedom and sovereignty.”
Addressing the Afghan people directly, he offered his condolences: “On behalf of myself and my party, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the families of the martyrs, and the brotherly people of Afghanistan. May Allah grant patience and strength to all who have suffered this tragedy.”
Haqqani, a prominent figure in Afghanistan’s struggle against foreign occupation, was killed in a bomb attack at the ministry while he and others were engaged in prayer. The explosion also claimed the lives of several colleagues and left the region mourning the loss of key leaders.
Yapıcıoğlu reiterated his party’s unwavering support for Afghanistan, urging unity in the face of such challenges. “We stand with the people of Afghanistan as they rebuild their nation and defend it against those who seek to destabilize their hard-won independence,” he concluded.
The attack, widely condemned by regional leaders, marks a somber moment for Afghanistan as it navigates its path toward stability and security after years of conflict. (ILKHA)
