Türkiye gears up for Mawlid al Nabi with focus on Prophet’s fight against oppression
The Prophet's Lovers Foundation has announced its schedule for this year's Mawlid al-Nabi events, which commemorate the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and aim to promote living according to his Sunnah.
This year's events will carry the theme "Resistance Leader Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him)," focusing on the Prophet's determination to protect Muslims and his struggles against oppression.
The Foundation, which attracts hundreds of thousands of attendees annually, revealed that the events will also highlight historical Islamic victories and examples of resistance. President of the Prophet's Lovers Foundation, Molla Beşir Şimşek, emphasized that these gatherings are intended to convey the message that the Prophet's path is the sole path to salvation.
"The squares will be overflowing with the love of Muhammad, the lovers will make the earth and sky groan with salawat and takbirs," Şimşek stated, highlighting the anticipated spiritual atmosphere. He stressed the importance of understanding and living the Prophet's Sunnah, particularly in the face of contemporary challenges.
This year's theme, "Resistance Leader Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)," addresses the "relentless and disproportionate war imposed on Muslim geographies." Şimşek condemned the recent attacks on Muslim communities, describing them as "an unmaskable manifestation of the cruel and dirty face of the oppressor." He asserted that the Prophet Muhammad's approach to protecting Muslims and fighting oppression serves as a crucial principle for all Muslims.
"His path was the path of resistance and resistance to oppression," Şimşek explained, emphasizing the Prophet's dedication to justice and righteousness. "Only the guidance of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) can bring justice and peace to the world and make right and truth prevail."
The Foundation has extended an open invitation to all individuals to participate in the events, regardless of age or gender. The schedule is as follows:
"We invite all lovers of the Prophet, all our brothers and sisters who adhere to his sunnah, and our people to fill the squares and fields in hundreds of thousands," Şimşek concluded. (ILKHA)
