Thousands gather in Van for Mawlid Al Nabi celebration
The city of Van is witnessing a magnificent outpouring of love and devotion as thousands gathered today for the Mawlid Al Nabi celebrations, organized by the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation.
City Square has been transformed into a scene of profound spiritual enthusiasm as lovers of the Prophet (peace be upon him) filled the area with warmth, affection, and unity. The event opened with greeting speeches delivered by Recep Aldemir in Turkish and Mustafa Öztünç in Kurdish, warmly welcoming the attendees.
The atmosphere became even more spiritual with the heartfelt recitation of the Holy Quran by Yakup Biçen, which set the tone for the rest of the day’s program. Following the Quran recitation, the Mevlidhan Group took the stage, filling the square with the love of Rasulullah through their melodious Mawlid recitations.
Murat Saraç, Deputy Provincial Coordinator of the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation, then delivered the foundation’s official message. In his address, he emphasized the consciousness of the Ummah, the spirit of resistance, and the deep love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), themes that resonated strongly with the attendees.
The event continued with soul-stirring performances of hymns by Özlem Agency artists Mustafa Altıntop and Yakup Kazak, alongside the foundation’s girls’ hymn group, bringing emotional moments to the forefront of the gathering.
Molla Beşir Şimşek, President of the Prophet’s Lovers Foundation, delivered a speech in Kurdish, stressing the determination of the Islamic Ummah to resist oppression and highlighting the unwavering spirit of resistance emerging from oppressed geographies, particularly Gaza.
Adding to the rich program, little girls performed hymns and poetry, touching the hearts of the audience. Later, Mullah Emrullah Uysal, a member of ITTIHADUL ULEMA, addressed the crowd in Turkish, speaking about the exemplary struggle of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and his role as a guide for resistance throughout Islamic history.
One of the standout moments of the celebration was a special theatre performance by volunteers from the Prophet Lovers Foundation, depicting the life and teachings of the Prophet.
As the event drew to a close, the spiritual atmosphere deepened with more hymns, culminating in a heartfelt collective prayer led by Müslüm Sezer. Hands raised to the sky, the participants prayed for the oppressed Muslim Ummah across the world, sending blessings and supplications to every corner of the Islamic world.
The Mawlid Al Nabi celebration in Van not only rekindled the love for the Prophet but also served as a powerful reminder of unity, resistance, and hope for the entire Ummah. (ILKHA)
