President Erdogan receives Pakistan's Chief of Army in Ankara
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir, at Ankara Airport on Tuesday, where the two sides held closed-door discussions focusing on bilateral cooperation, regional security, and defense ties.
According to a statement from the Turkish Presidency, the meeting was conducted behind closed doors, with no official details released regarding the agenda or outcomes of the talks.
The high-level meeting was attended by Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Chief of the General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, and National Intelligence Organization (MIT) Director İbrahim Kalın, underscoring the strategic nature of the discussions.
Although Turkish authorities did not disclose the substance of the meeting, the presence of Türkiye's top military and intelligence officials suggested that defense cooperation, regional security developments, and counterterrorism coordination were among the key issues discussed.
