The body of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing 19 days ago in Diyarbakır, has been discovered by gendarmerie forces.
Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya confirmed the tragic news, expressing his condolences. "The gendarmerie teams reached the lifeless body of our dear Narin. May she rest in peace. Our condolences," Yerlikaya announced in a statement on X.
Narin had disappeared on August 21 in the rural Tavşantepe neighborhood of Bağlar district in Diyarbakır, sparking a widespread search effort. The discovery brings an end to the nearly three-week search that had gripped the local community.
