Production in Türkiye’s construction sector rose sharply in July 2025, with the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) reporting a 24.1% increase compared with the same month last year.
Breaking down the figures by subsector, construction of buildings led the growth with a 26.2% annual increase, while civil engineering rose by 16.4% and specialized construction activities climbed 22.6% over the same period.
On a monthly basis, construction production also showed positive momentum, increasing 1.9% from June 2025. The monthly growth in the subsectors was more modest: construction of buildings rose 2.6%, civil engineering edged up 0.3%, and specialized construction activities grew 0.2%.
TurkStat officials noted that these figures reflect continued investment in both urban development and infrastructure projects, signaling resilience in Türkiye’s construction sector amid broader economic fluctuations.
Industry analysts say the strong annual growth is supported by large-scale government-led infrastructure projects, ongoing residential and commercial building activity, and increasing private sector investment in specialized construction services. (ILKHA)
