Yemen announces full sinking of “Magic Seas” in Red Sea

Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Monday the complete sinking of the commercial vessel "Magic Seas" in the Red Sea.
The operation, according to Yemeni military officials, was a direct response to violations of Sana’a’s declared ban on entry into the ports of occupied Palestine.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, confirmed the news in a statement published on the X platform (formerly Twitter), declaring: “By the grace of God and His power, the ‘Magic Seas’ ship has sunk completely in the depths of the sea.”
The operation, Saree explained, came after repeated warnings were issued to the ship and its parent company, which had openly defied the Yemen-imposed blockade. The company reportedly sent at least three ships into Israeli ports over the past week alone, disregarding Yemeni declarations made in solidarity with Palestine amid the ongoing genocide in Gaza.
“This company has repeatedly violated the decision to ban entry into the ports of occupied Palestine,” Saree said, reaffirming that Yemen’s armed forces are committed to defending the Palestinian cause and enforcing consequences against entities complicit in the Israeli occupation regime.
He emphasized that audio and video documentation of the ship’s final moments has been captured and archived, further asserting that any future violations will be met with decisive responses.
This latest maritime operation comes as part of Yemen’s continued military campaign in support of the Palestinian people, especially amid Israel’s ongoing assault on Gaza. The Yemeni Armed Forces have previously targeted and disabled multiple vessels tied to Israeli interests or companies defying the blockade—showcasing their growing capabilities and determination to take bold action in the regional theater.
Sana’a has repeatedly emphasized that its operations at sea are not acts of aggression, but acts of defensive solidarity rooted in the moral and political imperative to stand against Israeli crimes and the global complicity that enables them.
“Our Armed Forces are implementing their promises,” Saree added, “and our commitment to the Palestinian cause is not symbolic—it is operational, credible, and will continue until justice is achieved.”
The successful strike on the “Magic Seas” further underscores Yemen’s growing influence over critical maritime routes in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, and Gulf of Aden. Despite ongoing U.S. and UK-led strikes on Yemen, Sanaa's position and power projection remain unshaken—bolstered by popular support and regional legitimacy due to its uncompromising stance on Palestine.
The sinking of the vessel sends a clear warning to shipping companies and governments that defying Yemeni maritime warnings—particularly in support of Israel—will carry significant consequences.
As Gaza continues to endure siege, starvation, and mass destruction, Yemen’s military actions serve as a powerful declaration: Palestine is not alone. From the mountains of Yemen to the shores of the Red Sea, the resistance front remains active, unified, and ready to fulfill its pledges with action—not just words. (ILKHA)
