Pro-Palestine activists took to the streets in Denmark in a powerful show of solidarity with Gaza, demanding an end to Israel’s attacks and freedom for Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli prisons and detention centers.

Carrying Palestinian flags and raising their voices for justice, demonstrators called for an immediate end to the violence against Palestinians and urged the international community to take stronger action to protect Palestinian civilians and uphold their rights.

The protesters also demanded the release of Palestinian prisoners, highlighting the plight of thousands of Palestinians who are held in Israeli prisons and detention facilities.

The demonstration came amid Israel’s continuing military campaign in Gaza and its ongoing military operations in the occupied West Bank. Activists denounced what they described as Israel’s continued oppression of the Palestinian people and called for an end to the occupation and violations of Palestinian rights.

For the demonstrators, the streets of Denmark became a platform to amplify the voices of Palestinians in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

With Palestinian flags flying above the crowd, activists reaffirmed their solidarity with Palestinians facing the consequences of war, displacement, detention and destruction. They called for an end to attacks on Gaza and demanded that Palestinian prisoners be allowed to return to their families.

The protest also reflected growing public mobilization in Denmark in support of Palestine, with activists continuing to pressure political leaders to adopt a stronger position on the Gaza crisis.

The latest demonstration follows a series of large pro-Palestine protests held across Denmark, particularly in Copenhagen.

In August 2025, more than 10,000 people reportedly participated in a major march in the Danish capital. Demonstrators demanded an end to Israel’s military campaign in Gaza, an end to arms sales to Israel and international recognition of the Palestinian state.

The repeated mobilization demonstrates that the Palestinian cause continues to resonate strongly among sections of Danish civil society.

As the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues and Palestinians in the occupied West Bank face ongoing raids and detentions, pro-Palestine activists in Denmark say they will continue taking to the streets to demand justice, freedom and an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people.

For the protesters, their message is clear: Gaza must not be forgotten, Palestinian prisoners must be freed, and Palestinians must be allowed to live with freedom, dignity and self-determination. (ILKHA)
