Palestinian resistance committees warn: Collaborators with the occupation will share the same fate
The Palestinian Resistance Committees issued a strongly worded statement following the killing of Yasser Abu Shebab, whom the movement described as a “collaborator serving the agenda of the occupation.” The group stressed that cooperation with Israeli forces is a path that “inevitably leads to disgrace and destruction,” reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding the unity and social fabric of Palestinian society.
According to the statement, Abu Shebab had been involved with groups linked to the occupation’s security network. The committees said his death serves as a clear indication that such networks are “fragile, vulnerable, and incapable of protecting those who align themselves with the enemy.”
The movement emphasized that the incident proves the occupation cannot guarantee safety to those who cooperate with it, adding: “Every form of collaboration drags its perpetrator toward shame and obliteration.”
The Resistance Committees also warned that any attempts to sow division within Palestinian society, whether among families, clans, or political factions, will be confronted decisively. They reiterated their commitment to preserving social stability, solidarity, and unity in the face of efforts to create internal discord.
“Whoever works to spread discord among our people will inevitably face similar consequences,” the statement declared, underscoring that maintaining internal cohesion is a strategic priority of the resistance.
Towards the end of the statement, the committees addressed individuals currently cooperating with the occupation. They urged them to “turn back before it is too late,” noting that the doors remain open for those wishing to return to their community and renounce collaboration.
The movement concluded by emphasizing that true strength lies in unity against the occupation: “Anyone who chooses the path of the people, dignity, and resistance will always find a place among us.” (ILKHA)
