Over 1 million Yemenis flood Sana’a streets in solidarity with Gaza

Hundreds of thousands of Yemenis filled the streets of the capital on Friday in a massive demonstration under the slogan, “Steadfast with Gaza – We Fear No Threats and Are Not Intimidated by Conspiracies.”
The march, described by organizers as a million-man rally, highlighted Yemenis’ steadfast support for the Palestinian people amid ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza.
Participants waved Yemeni and Palestinian flags, proclaiming that Gaza is not alone and affirming that Palestine remains at the heart of Yemen’s political, religious, and moral priorities. Protesters reiterated their commitment to stand by Gaza until the siege is lifted and justice is restored.
Chants denouncing U.S. and Israeli actions echoed throughout the capital, alongside calls for accountability from Arab governments accused of complicity through normalization and political maneuvers against Palestinian resistance. Organizers urged a return to the Qur’an as a source of guidance and strength for the Muslim nation.
A statement delivered during the march framed the demonstrations as a form of jihad and moral responsibility to defend Gaza and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. It called on Muslims worldwide to resist Zionist schemes and expressed faith in God’s promise of victory for the oppressed and humiliation for aggressors.
The statement also criticized Arab governments, including Saudi Arabia and Egypt, for providing Israel with military, financial, and political support, warning that such actions enable Israel’s ongoing genocidal campaign in Gaza and advance the so-called “Greater Israel” agenda, threatening the wider region.
The rally further expressed solidarity with Palestinian resistance fighters, praising their resilience and military operations against Israel. It also highlighted Yemen’s own military actions in the Red Sea and beyond as part of the broader struggle, urging regional populations and the international community to intensify support for Palestine and Lebanon against Zionist-American plans.
The demonstration in Sana’a underscores the deep-rooted support for Gaza in Yemen and the broader Arab world, reflecting a commitment to humanitarian, religious, and political solidarity with the Palestinian cause. (ILKHA)
