Israeli genocidal assault claims 62,004 lives in Gaza, Health Ministry reports

Hospitals across the Gaza Strip have received the bodies of at least 60 civilians over the past 24 hours, while 344 others were admitted with injuries from ongoing Israeli attacks, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
The latest fatalities raise the overall death toll from Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, to 62,004 martyrs, including 1,965 aid seekers. The ministry reported that the total number of wounded has surged to 156,230, including 14,701 aid seekers.
Since March 18, 2025, when Israeli forces resumed intensified attacks on Gaza, at least 10,460 people have been killed and 44,189 injured, underscoring the extreme human cost of the occupation’s ongoing campaign of violence.
In addition to deaths caused by direct attacks, Gaza’s hospitals recorded five more fatalities over the past day due to starvation and malnutrition, bringing the total number of famine victims to 263, including 112 children. The continuing blockade and siege imposed by Israel have left the Palestinian population with severely limited access to food, water, and medical care.
Authorities in Gaza are also working to recover the bodies of additional martyrs who remain missing across various areas of the besieged territory, as the humanitarian crisis deepens.
The Health Ministry emphasized that the relentless assault, combined with the blockade, has created a catastrophic situation for Gaza’s civilian population, leaving hospitals overwhelmed and families mourning unprecedented losses. (ILKHA)
