Occupation forces carried out large-scale raids across several areas of the occupied West Bank early Thursday, detaining dozens of Palestinians and conducting extensive searches in residential neighborhoods.

In the Qalqilya governorate, occupation forces entered the town of Azzun with around 15 military vehicles and more than 30 soldiers. Troops raided homes in multiple neighborhoods, including the Eastern Quarter, Al-Mansour, Khallet al-Darba, Al-Maqbara, Al-Shamiya, Khallet al-Tineh and Al-Ghanawi.

Local sources said several Palestinians were detained during the operation. They also reported that Palestinian resident Maan Radwan was severely beaten during one of the raids.

The home of Ayman al-Mansour was reportedly converted into a temporary military post, where a number of detainees were taken for interrogation.

Those reported detained in Azzun included Karim Azzam Khalif, Mohammad Radwan and his son Walid, Osama Adnan Shubaita, Mohammad Tabib, Mohammad al-Qash, Mohammad Ashraf Salim, Mahmoud al-Ghanawi, Ashraf Mamoun, Mohammad Taher Salim, Mustafa Hassan Salama, Ismail al-Bam and Baraa Shaher Hussein.

Occupation forces also stormed the homes of Bassam Shilo, Bilal Hanoun, Hassan Salama and Mohammad Shubaita, using sound bombs and tear gas before searching the properties and damaging household belongings.

Detention campaign expands to other governorates

In the Tubas governorate, occupation forces raided the town of Tammun, southeast of Tubas, deploying across several neighborhoods and entering Palestinian homes.

Kamal Bani Odeh, director of the Palestinian Prisoners' Club in Tubas, said occupation forces detained 17 Palestinians during what he described as a large-scale detention campaign.

Occupation forces also raided the village of Tayasir, east of Tubas, where troops entered at least one home.

Elsewhere, raids were reported in Beit Imrin village and the town of Sebastia in the Nablus governorate, while occupation forces also entered Nablus through the Beit Furik checkpoint.

In the Jenin governorate, troops stormed the village of Kafr Qud and simultaneously raided the nearby town of Silat al-Harithiya west of Jenin.

Additional incursions were reported in the city of al-Dhahiriya, south of al-Khalil (Hebron), and in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah, where occupation forces entered a residential home.

The latest operations come amid an ongoing escalation of military raids, detentions and incursions across the occupied West Bank, where occupation forces have intensified operations in cities, towns and refugee camps in recent months.(ILKHA)
