Israeli forces continue attacks on Tubas for third consecutive day
Military operations in the city of Tubas escalate, with multiple injuries, detentions, and forced displacements reported.
Israeli occupation forces have continued their military operations in Tubas, a city in the occupied West Bank, for the third consecutive day. The ongoing attacks have resulted in numerous injuries and detentions, while residents of El-Faria Refugee Camp have been forcibly displaced.
Local media reported that at dawn, occupation forces launched an assault on the El-Faria camp, which they have maintained a presence in for the past two days. Dozens of Palestinian homes were raided, and heavy infantry units were deployed throughout the camp. Meanwhile, the forces withdrew from Tammun town, leaving behind significant damage to infrastructure and civilian property. Attacks have persisted in Tubas, Akabe, and Tayasir, with some homes still being used as military barracks.
Kamal Bani Odeh, head of the Tubas Prisoners Club, stated that 162 citizens were detained over the past two days. Many of the detainees were later released in groups, while others were hospitalized due to mistreatment and exposure to cold for prolonged periods. Witnesses reported that soldiers subjected civilians to beatings and property destruction during home raids.
Nidal Avda, head of Tubas Ambulance and Emergency Services, reported that more than 70 people have been injured since the attacks began, with the majority treated on-site and some requiring hospital care. The occupying forces continue to block main entrances to the city with earth mounds, while numerous secondary roads are also closed. Tubas airspace has seen intense drone activity, occasional war helicopter flights, and random gunfire.
Eyewitnesses noted detailed searches of homes by soldiers, restricted civilian movement due to the heavy military presence, and increased tension within the camp. According to health sources from the Red Crescent, three injured individuals from El-Faria camp have been transferred to Red Crescent teams.
Over the past three days, the occupation army has carried out wide-scale military operations in the northern West Bank, including over 200 raids, detentions, searches, and abductions, and has reportedly executed young Palestinians in the field. (ILKHA)
