Israeli drone attack kills at least six civilians near Gaza port
Six Palestinian civilians, including a child, were killed and at least 10 others injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting a café near the port of Gaza City, Palestinian media outlets reported.
According to a reporter for the Palestinian Information Center (PIC), the Israeli drone targeted the café, killing six people and wounding 10 others. The injured were transported to Al-Shifa Hospital for medical treatment.
The victims were reportedly civilians who had gathered at the café near the Gaza port, an area that has continued to be exposed to Israeli military activity despite the ceasefire.
Palestinian sources described the attack as another deadly assault against civilians and warned that continued strikes are undermining the fragile ceasefire and deepening the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.
The latest killings come amid continued reports of Israeli attacks on residential areas and civilian gathering places across Gaza despite the ceasefire agreement.
Palestinian officials and rights advocates have repeatedly called for international pressure to ensure the protection of civilians and an end to attacks on civilian infrastructure.
The reported strike adds to growing concerns over the implementation of the ceasefire, as Palestinians in Gaza continue to face insecurity, widespread destruction and severe humanitarian needs following the prolonged Israeli military campaign. (ILKHA)
