Israeli army targets freed prisoner’s home in Ramallah raid

In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Israeli occupation forces launched yet another wave of aggression in the occupied West Bank, storming several neighborhoods in Ramallah and al-Bireh and raiding numerous homes in nearby towns and villages.
According to local security sources, heavily armed Israeli soldiers broke into the Ein Munjed neighborhood of Ramallah, raiding the home of Issam al-Froukh, a freed Palestinian who had been deported to Gaza, and ransacked his property, leaving behind scenes of destruction and intimidation.
The occupation troops also invaded the Sateh Marhaba neighborhood in al-Bireh, spreading fear among residents with their midnight operations.
Witnesses and local sources confirmed that Israeli forces raided more than seven homes in the village of Deir Ibzi', west of Ramallah, conducting field interrogations with the families and detaining some for questioning before withdrawing.
The attacks did not stop there. Israeli military units also stormed the village of Ein Arik and the town of Ni'lin, west of Ramallah, continuing their systematic campaign of harassment, house raids, and intimidation against Palestinian civilians.
Residents reported that Israeli forces deliberately broke into homes during pre-dawn hours, traumatizing families, including women and children, in a clear act of collective punishment and intimidation.
These renewed incursions come amid ongoing Israeli aggression across the occupied West Bank, where arbitrary raids, detentions, and property destruction have become near-daily occurrences since the escalation of the war on Gaza in October 2023.
Human rights observers have condemned the raids as part of Israel’s broader campaign of collective punishment aimed at crushing Palestinian resistance and silencing opposition to its brutal occupation.
Despite these continued violations, the Palestinian people in Ramallah and across the occupied territories remain steadfast in their resistance, vowing that no amount of repression will break their will or extinguish their pursuit of freedom and dignity. (ILKHA)
