Israeli airstrikes kill at least 26, injure over 200 near aid center in Rafah

At least 26 civilians were killed and more than 200 others injured on Monday after Israeli occupation forces launched airstrikes on a crowd gathered near an aid distribution center in Rafah, southern Gaza, according to medical sources in the Strip.
The strike targeted Palestinians waiting for humanitarian assistance, marking yet another deadly incident in a region already grappling with severe shortages of food, medicine, and essential supplies amid Israel’s ongoing military campaign.
Medical personnel on the ground described the toll as preliminary, warning that the number of casualties may rise as emergency teams continue to pull victims from the rubble and treat the wounded.
In a related incident, Israeli military vehicles reportedly opened fire on the Red Cross field hospital in Al-Mawasi, located in the Khan Younis governorate. The attack placed the lives of both patients and medical staff at risk, further endangering Gaza’s already fragile healthcare infrastructure.
Humanitarian organizations have repeatedly called for the protection of civilians and medical facilities under international law. Monday’s attacks have intensified those calls amid what many view as an increasingly dire humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip. (ILKHA)
