Israeli airstrikes kill 12 Palestinians, including entire family, in Gaza

Israeli forces intensified their aerial bombardment of the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, killing at least 12 Palestinians and injuring several others in strikes that targeted multiple areas, including eastern and western Gaza City and the town of Bani Suheila in eastern Khan Younis.
Among the victims was the entire Dahdouh family, whose home in the Al-Shawa area of Gaza City’s Shujaiya neighborhood was struck in a devastating air raid. The attack killed a father, mother, and five of their children, according to local sources. Several others were wounded in the same strike, prompting a renewed wave of grief across the war-torn enclave.
In a separate assault, five more civilians — including a child — were killed near the College of Training in western Gaza City. The airstrike reportedly hit a group of people gathered in the area, causing widespread casualties.
In southern Gaza, Wail Salim Abu Khater was killed in another Israeli airstrike on Bani Suheila, a town in the eastern part of Khan Younis governorate.
Medical sources in Gaza reported that at least 31 Palestinians, including several children, have been killed since the early hours of Wednesday amid a series of relentless Israeli raids across the besieged coastal territory. Dozens more have been wounded, many critically, as hospitals continue to struggle with limited medical supplies and overwhelmed emergency services.
The latest casualties bring the overall death toll in Gaza to a staggering 56,077, with 131,848 reported injuries since the beginning of the Israeli military campaign on October 7, 2023.
The continued bombardment and mounting civilian deaths have intensified calls from humanitarian organizations and regional actors for an immediate ceasefire and the urgent delivery of aid to Gaza’s more than two million besieged residents. (ILKHA)
