Iran launches major missile barrage targeting Israeli strategic sites

Iran launched a large-scale missile attack early Thursday morning, striking multiple Israeli military and strategic targets, including central Tel Aviv, Ramat Gan, Haifa, and al-Naqab (Negev).
According to Israeli media and local sources, the barrage included direct hits on key military installations and infrastructure, with at least four confirmed impacts in central Israel.
Among the most significant targets was the Israeli army’s C4I (Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence) headquarters, located in the Gav-Yam high-tech park in Beer al-Sabe (Beersheba). The site, which houses thousands of military personnel and core cyber and digital warfare units, sits adjacent to Soroka Hospital, which was reportedly impacted by the blast wave.
While the hospital itself did not suffer substantial damage, the precision nature of the strike led to concern over civilian proximity, particularly as the facility is known for treating soldiers wounded in Gaza.
Iran’s IRNA news agency confirmed the military base was the primary target, characterizing the strike as a calculated response to recent Israeli attacks on Iranian civilian infrastructure, including the June 16 bombing of Al-Farabi Hospital in Kermanshah.
The Israeli Stock Exchange building in Ramat Gan, near Tel Aviv, was also struck, Israeli media reported. The extent of damage remains unclear, but the hit represents a notable symbolic and economic target amid intensifying tensions.
Further missile impacts were reported in the Gush Dan region, which includes Tel Aviv and surrounding suburbs. Separate explosions occurred in Haifa, the industrial and naval hub of northern Israel, and in al-Naqab, deepening the strategic reach of Iran’s missile response.
At the time of the strike, an El Al passenger plane was reportedly en route to Tel Aviv. The aircraft was forced to divert back to Larnaca, Cyprus, to avoid risk, according to Israeli aviation authorities.
Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical service, confirmed search and rescue operations are ongoing at seven separate locations, where casualties may be trapped beneath rubble. Authorities have not yet released a final casualty count.
The missile operation comes amid a justified wave of regional resistance against the occupation’s crimes in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran. Israel’s continued targeting of hospitals, civilian infrastructure, and scientists has triggered a regional backlash.
Tehran’s response signals that resistance forces across the region will no longer tolerate unchecked Zionist aggression, and that any attempt to impose a false peace or secure occupation by force will be met with firm, calculated resistance. (ILKHA)
