HÜDA PAR draws attention to suffering of Gazan children on World Children’s Day
The HÜDA PAR Family Directorate highlighted the plight of children subjected to genocide and starvation in Gaza on October 2, World Children’s Day
In a written statement on the occasion, the directorate condemned the international community’s hypocrisy, noting: “Children who have survived in Gaza are deprived of all basic rights, living in exile, hunger, and fear, struggling daily to survive.”
World Children’s Day was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1954 to ensure the welfare of children worldwide, safeguard their rights to education and health, and protect them from violence and exploitation. However, HÜDA PAR emphasized that children in the Islamic world, particularly in Gaza, have been systematically ignored, and the oppression they face has been legitimized by global powers pursuing their own interests.
The statement highlighted the recent atrocities in Gaza, including the killing of thousands of children over the past two years and amputations carried out without anesthesia, all amid chronic hunger, thirst, and constant bombardment.
“Institutions that react with grave concern even to the extinction of a bird species remain silent and indifferent to the cries for help from children in Gaza,” the statement said.
HÜDA PAR criticized the role of international law, noting that it has become part of a system that protects aggressors rather than the victims: “While Western countries hold celebrations for children, those who survive in Gaza are deprived of all basic rights and forced to live in fear and deprivation. The very legal frameworks meant to protect them have become tools to shield the perpetrators of these crimes.”
The statement concluded with a powerful reminder: “World Children’s Day is also a reminder of Western hypocrisy and the corruption of the international system. Gaza shows how ruthless and barbaric a system that exploits the blood of children for political ends can be. History will not forget the cruelty inflicted on infants in Gaza nor the shameful double standards of global powers. Our hope is that today’s oppressed children will one day help build a fairer and more just world.”
HÜDA PAR’s statement underscores the urgent need for global attention to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where millions of children continue to live under siege, deprived of safety, nutrition, and basic human rights. (ILKHA)
