Gaza Health Ministry: 69,775 Palestinians killed since 2023 Israeli assault
Medical authorities in Gaza reported Tuesday that the Palestinian death toll has climbed to 69,775 since the start of the Israeli aggression in October 2023, with children and women comprising the majority of the victims.
Health officials said the number of injured has also risen sharply, reaching 170,965, while thousands remain missing under the rubble of destroyed homes and buildings. Rescue efforts continue to be severely hampered by the collapse of infrastructure, ongoing military activity, and the inability of ambulances and civil defense teams to safely access devastated areas.
Hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 17 bodies over the past 24 hours, including three newly confirmed fatalities and 14 remains recovered from the ruins. Medical teams also treated 16 wounded individuals during the same period.
Despite a ceasefire agreement that took effect on 11 October 2025, the violence has not fully subsided. Since the truce began, Gaza’s health authorities have recorded 345 additional deaths, more than 889 injuries, and the recovery of 588 bodies from destroyed neighborhoods.
Humanitarian organizations warn that the worsening conditions—combined with shortages of medical supplies, fuel, and clean water—continue to push Gaza’s health system toward total collapse, leaving countless survivors without adequate care. (ILKHA)
