The humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip continues to deepen, with the number of Palestinians killed since the start of the Israeli military campaign on October 7, 2023, rising to 72,610, according to medical sources.

Health officials also reported that 172,448 people have been injured since the beginning of the war, as hospitals across the besieged territory continue to struggle under extreme pressure and limited resources.

Local health authorities said that in the past 24 hours alone, hospitals received two new fatalities and three additional injuries, underscoring the continued violence on the ground despite the declared ceasefire that came into effect on October 11, 2025.

Since the start of that ceasefire period, at least 830 Palestinians have been killed and 2,345 others wounded, according to official figures from Gaza’s health sector. Medical teams also confirmed that 767 bodies have been recovered from beneath the rubble during ongoing search and recovery operations.

Emergency and medical crews report that many victims remain trapped under collapsed buildings and scattered debris across multiple areas of Gaza. Rescue teams say their efforts are severely hindered by continued insecurity, damaged infrastructure, and restricted access to affected zones.

Hospitals and ambulance services, already stretched beyond capacity, continue to operate under extremely difficult conditions as they attempt to respond to the scale of destruction left behind.

The latest figures highlight the unprecedented toll of the Israeli military campaign on civilians in Gaza, where entire neighborhoods have been reduced to rubble and basic services have been devastated.

Humanitarian organizations warn that the continued inability of rescue teams to reach many of the wounded and missing is likely to push the death toll even higher in the coming days.
