European Orphan Hand distributes sacrificial meat to needy families in Burundi

The European Orphan Hand Association (Avrupa Yetim Eli Derneği) has completed a successful sacrificial animal meat distribution campaign in Burundi, one of the poorest countries in Africa.
The organization, known for its continued humanitarian efforts, focused on providing assistance to the most vulnerable populations in the region. The sacrificial animals, slaughtered with the donations from Europe, were distributed to families in need, with particular emphasis on orphaned children and impoverished families.
As part of their mission to bring joy and comfort to the children, the association’s team distributed sweets and chocolates before the main distribution, ensuring that the children experienced moments of happiness amidst their challenging circumstances.
Abdulvahap Kaplan, Volunteer Representative of the European Orphan Hand Association, shared that the group has been active in Burundi for the past two years, particularly during significant occasions like Ramadan and Eid al-Adha. He emphasized the importance of providing aid to orphan families and those in dire need in the region.
“Our teams will continue to carry out humanitarian activities here, supporting orphaned families and distributing aid to those in need,” said Kaplan. “Currently, hundreds of people are waiting for the meat, and we have arranged a hot meal for 500 people this evening. We are grateful for the support from our European benefactors and sincerely pray that Allah blesses them with abundance and happiness.”
The European Orphan Hand Association’s ongoing efforts in Burundi highlight the significant impact of international humanitarian collaboration, with the association’s work providing hope and sustenance to some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. (ILKHA)
