Al-Hayya: Gaza’s resistance rekindled the flame of Palestinian liberation
Senior Hamas official Dr. Khalil al-Hayya affirmed that the October 7 “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation reignited the flame of the Palestinian cause, restoring its rightful place at the center of the Arab and Islamic conscience after years of neglect and normalization attempts.
Speaking at the Arab National Conference on Friday, al-Hayya described Gaza as “the beating heart of the Arab and Islamic nation — the voice that refuses submission and the conscience that refuses betrayal.” He said Gaza stands firm against “tyranny, occupation, and the forces of global injustice,” representing a nation that refuses to be erased or silenced.
“Gaza called upon the Arab and Islamic Ummah to stand by its side as it confronts an enemy that seeks to annihilate our people and erase our identity,” al-Hayya declared. “This steadfast land, drenched in the blood of martyrs and surrounded by the ruins of homes, still raises the banner of freedom.”
Al-Hayya stressed that despite the devastating destruction and siege, the people of Gaza continue to embody patience, faith, and dignity. “They search for water, bread, and medicine under the rain of bombs — yet they remain unbroken. Their will is stronger than the rubble that surrounds them.”
He hailed the “Al-Aqsa Flood” as a turning point in modern history, saying, “October 7 was not merely a battle — it was the collapse of illusions. It shattered the myth of the invincible army, exposed the hypocrisy of the so-called international community, and revived the moral conscience of humanity.”
Al-Hayya emphasized that peace and stability in the region cannot exist without justice — without the end of the occupation, the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state, and the full right of return for all displaced Palestinians.
“There will be no peace built on the ruins of our people. There will be no stability without justice. The occupier must know that its era of impunity is over,” he said.
Concluding his address, al-Hayya reaffirmed that the Israeli occupation “is destined to fall, as every oppressor before it has fallen.” He declared that Gaza — though wounded — “will remain a fortress of resistance and a symbol of faith until every inch of our land is liberated.”
“Gaza will never bow. It stands today not as a victim, but as a witness and a beacon — a reminder that truth, when backed by steadfastness, will always outlive tyranny.” (ILKHA)
