Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister meets Muslim World League Chief in Kabul

Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, welcomed Sheikh Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL), in Kabul on Monday for high-level talks aimed at enhancing cooperation and fostering unity among Muslim nations.
The meeting centered on the need for greater coordination within the Islamic world to address shared challenges and shifting regional dynamics. Muttaqi stressed that Islamic solidarity is a cornerstone for tackling global crises and ensuring justice for Muslim communities worldwide.
Muttaqi provided an overview of Afghanistan’s progress under the Islamic Emirate, highlighting the stability achieved through the general amnesty declared by the Supreme Leader, Amir al-Muminin. He described the amnesty as a transformative measure that has bolstered national unity and security. The minister also outlined ongoing religious, spiritual, and institutional reforms, underscoring the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to governance rooted in Islamic principles.
Sheikh Al-Issa praised Afghanistan’s significant role in the Islamic world and affirmed the MWL’s commitment to deepening ties with the Islamic Emirate. He emphasized the importance of ongoing dialogue to address global Islamic issues and promote shared values.
