Afghan Economy Minister, Turkish envoy discuss expanded economic cooperation
Afghanistan’s Minister of Economy Qari Din Mohammad Hanif held a meeting with Cenk Ünal, Türkiye’s Chargé d’Affaires in Kabul, to discuss strengthening economic cooperation and advancing humanitarian support between the two nations.
During the talks, both sides emphasized the importance of expanding bilateral economic ties and exploring new areas of partnership aimed at supporting Afghanistan’s development and economic stability.
The Turkish envoy informed Minister Hanif that Türkiye is preparing to deliver 1,000 tons of humanitarian aid to assist Afghan communities affected by recent earthquakes. The shipment will include essential relief supplies intended to support ongoing recovery and reconstruction efforts.
Minister Hanif expressed appreciation for Türkiye’s continued support, noting that humanitarian assistance and broader economic cooperation play a crucial role in addressing Afghanistan’s urgent needs and long-term development challenges.
The meeting underscored Ankara’s commitment to maintaining engagement with Afghanistan and providing relief to disaster-affected regions, while both sides reaffirmed their willingness to pursue deeper economic collaboration in the coming months. (ILKHA)
