“All talk, no action”: Trump accuses Europe of collapsing politically and morally
The U.S. President Donald Trump labeled European countries as “morally and politically fractured states,” criticizing EU leaders for failing on migration policy and the Ukraine war.
US President Donald Trump issued strong criticism of European governments, accusing the continent’s political leadership of weakness, indecision, and chronic inability to deliver concrete results on urgent global issues.
Speaking to Politico, Trump described Europe as a “morally and politically dissolved bloc,” arguing that European leaders “talk endlessly but accomplish nothing.” He claimed that persistent failures in managing migration have deeply affected major cities such as London and Paris, warning that several European states may no longer remain “livable nations” if current trends continue.
Trump singled out London Mayor Sadiq Khan, calling him “a disaster” due to what he described as Khan’s pro-refugee stance. He added that Europe’s broader migration policies have contributed to social tension and declining public security.
Turning to the Ukraine-Russia war, Trump said European leaders have played little meaningful role in ending the conflict. “They speak, but they do nothing. The war just goes on,” he stated. He also questioned Kyiv’s democratic practices, noting that elections have not been held in Ukraine for an extended period.
Trump confirmed that he has proposed a new peace plan for Ukraine, saying some Ukrainian officials responded positively to the draft, although President Volodymyr Zelensky has not yet evaluated it. Arguing that Russia currently holds a stronger position on the battlefield, Trump reiterated his support for European leaders aligned with his worldview, including Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
The remarks follow Trump’s recent criticism of the European Commission, particularly regarding the financial penalties imposed on the social media platform X. (ILKHA)
