Türkiye's Presidential Cabinet convenes to address security, economy, and key foreign policy issues
Turkish Presidential Cabinet met on Monday at the Presidential Complex in Beştepe, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to coordinate policy across a wide-ranging agenda of security, economic, and international issues.
The session placed a primary emphasis on domestic security, with ministers reviewing the ongoing "Türkiye Without Terror" initiative. Officials assessed the progress of counter-terrorism operations and examined developments related to the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in northern Syria, a key security concern for Ankara.
On the economic front, the cabinet evaluated recent positive trends in economic indicators and discussed the preparatory work for the 2026 national budget. The discussions highlighted coordination between the executive branch and parliamentary committees to advance the budget process.
Foreign policy constituted a major part of the deliberations. The cabinet reviewed Türkiye's diplomatic engagements, including its role in Russia-Ukraine peace efforts and its initiatives to address the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. The meeting served to evaluate steps taken and to plan future actions in line with the country's foreign policy objectives.
The comprehensive agenda underscores the government's integrated approach to navigating concurrent domestic and international challenges, aiming to synchronize security strategy, economic stability, and diplomatic outreach. (ILKHA)
