Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan is set to travel to Luxembourg on October 19-20, 2025, to participate in a significant ministerial meeting focused on cross-regional security and connectivity, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday.
In a written statement, the Ministry said: “Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, will visit Luxembourg on 19–20 October 2025 to participate in the Ministerial Meeting on Cross-Regional Security and Connectivity to be held on the margins of the European Union Foreign Affairs Council.”
The meeting will bring together foreign ministers from several regions to discuss strategies for enhancing cooperation on global and regional security, trade routes, energy corridors, and transportation connectivity. Topics are expected to include ongoing geopolitical challenges, emerging security dynamics in Europe and Asia, and Türkiye’s central role as a bridge between continents.
Minister Fidan is also expected to hold bilateral meetings with several of his counterparts to discuss key regional issues, including developments in the Middle East, the South Caucasus, and Türkiye–EU relations. Diplomatic sources indicate that the visit will further underline Türkiye’s commitment to fostering dialogue, stability, and sustainable partnerships across regions.
The Luxembourg meeting marks another step in Türkiye’s ongoing diplomatic engagement to promote regional peace and connectivity, building upon previous multilateral efforts involving Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. (ILKHA)
