Orphans Foundation provides winter clothing to orphaned children in Diyarbakır

As winter’s chill begins to set in, the Orphans Foundation has launched its annual ‘One Coat One Boot’ campaign in Diyarbakır, bringing warmth and joy to hundreds of orphaned children.
Through this initiative, made possible by the generosity of philanthropists, the foundation has provided essential winter clothing to children in need, ensuring they are equipped for the colder months ahead.
The Orphans Foundation, known for its dedication to orphaned children in need both domestically and abroad, continually works to connect charitable individuals with vulnerable families. Through projects tailored to specific needs and seasons, the foundation serves as a vital bridge between the generosity of donors and the needs of children who lack family support. This year, as temperatures begin to drop, the ‘One Coat One Boot’ project was launched to provide warmth to those without the means to obtain it themselves.
In a store in Diyarbakır, hundreds of children gathered to receive warm coats and boots, thanks to donations from compassionate individuals. Speaking about the project, Yaşar Elbahadır, a member of the Advisory Board of the Orphans Foundation, expressed his hopes of reaching even more families with the support of philanthropists. “We have launched the ‘One Boot One Coat’ campaign as we do each year,” Elbahadır explained. “Our aim is to ensure that, with the support of benefactors, children are not left to face the cold unprotected. Each donation of 1,000 TL helps provide a child with a coat and boots, and the more support we receive, the more families we’ll be able to reach.”
The event in Diyarbakır was marked by smiles and joy, as children excitedly tried on their new winter gear. “We brought our orphaned children here today and dressed them in warm coats and boots,” Elbahadır shared. “The children are happy, their families are grateful, and with every new benefactor who joins, we’re able to make even more children smile. Our campaign is ongoing, and we welcome any and all support. May Allah accept the charity of our donors and bless their wealth.”
The ‘One Coat One Boot’ project provides more than just physical warmth; it also offers these children the comfort of knowing they are not alone, that a network of people cares deeply about their well-being. Through this initiative and others like it, the Orphans Foundation exemplifies how generosity can bridge the gap for children in need, transforming the cold days of winter into moments of warmth and community.
