Israeli aggression could ignite regional disaster, Erdogan warns
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has issued a strong condemnation of the Zionist regime’s brutal assault on the Islamic Republic of Iran, labeling it a “blatant provocation” that defies international law and threatens the stability of the Middle East and the world.
The remarks came in response to Israel’s large-scale and unprovoked attack early Friday, in which approximately 200 warplanes violated Iranian sovereignty, targeting peaceful nuclear facilities and assassinating senior Iranian military commanders and scientists — acts widely denounced as war crimes.
Erdogan denounced the Netanyahu regime’s “reckless, lawless, and aggressive actions,” warning that its continued belligerence could drag the entire region into catastrophe. “We do not want to see more bloodshed, destruction, or conflict,” Erdogan emphasized, making it clear that Turkey opposes the Zionist regime’s ongoing militarism and destabilizing role in the region.
Taking to social media platform X, the Turkish president called on the global community to take urgent action: “The international community must put an end to Israel’s banditry, which threatens global and regional stability.”
Iran has vowed “severe punishment” for the regime’s crimes and has called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to hold the Zionist entity accountable for its acts of aggression.
