HÜDA PAR (Free Cause Party) has issued a strong call for enhanced preventive measures, improved early warning systems, and legal accountability in response to widespread forest fires ravaging multiple provinces across Türkiye.

In a written statement released by its Social Affairs Presidency on Tuesday, HÜDA PAR expressed profound sorrow over the fires, which have caused significant environmental and communal damage.

 “We are deeply saddened by the forest fires... It is of vital importance that all necessary preventive measures are taken as soon as possible to stop the spread and repetition of these tragic events that burn our lungs,” the statement said.

The party urged authorities to bolster fire detection and response capabilities, emphasizing the need to “strengthen early warning systems, increase intervention capacity, and expand public awareness initiatives” to protect Türkiye’s forests.

HÜDA PAR also demanded a thorough investigation into the causes of the fires, including potential negligence or criminal intent, and called for swift judicial and administrative action against those responsible.

“As HÜDA PAR, we express that our hearts are also burning due to the fires,” the statement read, extending condolences and support to affected communities. The party vowed to closely monitor efforts to aid recovery and ensure accountability.
