Erdogan extends solidarity to Pakistan after tragic terror strike

Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has strongly condemned a deadly terror attack in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province that left 13 Pakistani soldiers dead, expressing deep condolences and reaffirming Türkiye’s steadfast support for its longtime ally.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Erdogan described the suicide bombing as a “heinous” act of terrorism and extended his prayers and sympathies to the victims and their families. “I pray to Allah for mercy on our Pakistani brothers and sisters who lost their lives in the attack and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded,” he said.
The attack, which took place near the Afghan border, triggered a swift military response from Pakistan, resulting in the reported deaths of 14 militants, according to the Pakistani army.
President Erdogan emphasized Türkiye’s continued solidarity with Pakistan in the face of such threats. “As always, Türkiye will continue to stand by our longstanding friend Pakistan in its fight against terrorism,” he declared. He further underscored Ankara’s unwavering alliance, stating that Türkiye stands with Pakistan not only in moments of joy but also during times of adversity.
Erdogan concluded his remarks by extending heartfelt condolences to the “friendly and brotherly people and government of Pakistan,” highlighting the deep-rooted ties and mutual support between the two nations. (ILKHA)
