Türkiye’s agricultural producer prices soar 46.8% year-on-year in September

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) reported a significant rise in the Producer Price Index of Agricultural Products (Agriculture-PPI) for September 2025, with a year-on-year increase of 46.83% and a month-on-month jump of 5.80%.
According to TurkStat, the Agriculture-PPI (2020=100) showed robust growth across multiple timeframes. Compared to December of the previous year, the index rose by 28.90%, while the twelve-month moving average reflected a 37.98% increase. Breaking down the monthly changes by sector, products of agriculture, hunting, and related services led with a 6.28% rise. Forestry, logging, and related services saw a modest increase of 0.25%, while fish and other fishing products, including aquaculture, declined by 1.96%. Among the main groups, non-perennial crops posted a 5.10% increase, perennial crops grew by 4.38%, and live animals and animal products rose by 3.42%.
The standout performer was the pome fruits and stone fruits subgroup, which recorded a staggering annual increase of 155.54%, the highest among all subgroups. On a monthly basis, other tree and bush fruits and nuts led with a 19.63% rise, marking the largest month-on-month change.
