Yemeni Armed Forces mourn heroic martyrdom of Chief of Staff

Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) announced the martyrdom of their Chief of Staff, Major General Mohammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari, alongside his companions and his 13-year-old son, Hussein.
The YAF hailed Major General al-Ghamari as a heroic leader who sacrificed his life while steadfastly fulfilling his duty to support the Palestinian cause against Israeli aggression.
“It is a source of pride and solace to the nation that the Quranic path is blessed with great leaders like the Martyr and his companions,” the statement declared. “These steadfast mujahideen, guided by faith, profound knowledge, and vast expertise, continue the journey of jihad and responsibility with unwavering resolve.”
The YAF emphasized that the martyrdom of their Chief of Staff has not weakened their resolve or operations. On the contrary, the barrage of rockets, drones, and other military actions targeting the "criminal Zionist enemy" has intensified, delivering devastating blows with unrelenting force. “The rounds of conflict are far from over,” the statement affirmed, vowing that the Israeli regime will face severe consequences for its ongoing crimes.
The YAF detailed its extensive operations in support of Palestine over the past two years of Israel’s war on Gaza. The forces have conducted 758 operations, deploying 1,835 munitions, including ballistic and cruise missiles, hypersonic weapons, drones, and naval vessels. These operations have targeted Israeli interests with precision and impact, showcasing Yemen’s military prowess and commitment to the Palestinian struggle.
The Yemeni Naval Forces have been particularly effective, executing 346 operations against Israeli ships and vessels violating Yemen’s navigation ban. These operations, spanning the Red Sea, Bab el-Mandab Strait, Gulf of Aden, Arabian Sea, and Indian Ocean, have struck over 228 enemy ships, significantly disrupting Israel’s maritime activities.
Yemeni air defenses have also demonstrated remarkable capability, shooting down 22 American MQ-9 reconnaissance drones and conducting 40 operations against enemy aircraft, including strategic bombers. Using over 57 missiles, the YAF has thwarted numerous hostile operations and forced enemy combat formations to retreat, underscoring their resilience and tactical superiority.
Leadership Transition and Continued ResolveIn the wake of Major General al-Ghamari’s martyrdom, a presidential decree appointed Major General Youssef Hassan Hassan al-Madani as the new Chief of Staff. The YAF expressed confidence in Major General al-Madani’s leadership, affirming that their military apparatus remains unaffected and fully operational.
The Yemeni Armed Forces reiterated their unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, vowing to continue their operations with even greater determination. The statement concluded with a powerful message to the Israeli regime: “The enemy will inevitably face the consequences of its crimes, and Yemen’s support for Palestine will remain steadfast until justice is achieved.” (ILKHA)
