US airstrikes kill civilians in Yemen

US warplanes pounded multiple residential areas across Yemen on Tuesday, killing and maiming scores of civilians—many of them women and children—in what observers and officials have condemned as flagrant war crimes.
The blood-soaked strikes were launched by the United States as part of its ongoing campaign of terror against the steadfast Yemeni people, with the al-Hawak district in Hodeidah bearing the brunt of the latest onslaught. A US airstrike on a civilian neighborhood in the district killed at least four people and wounded 16 others, according to the Yemeni Ministry of Health. Rescue teams continue to pull bodies from the rubble as four entire families are believed to be buried under the collapsed homes.
Local sources reported that the strikes deliberately targeted the Amin Muqbil neighborhood, resulting in the deaths of six innocent Yemenis, including three children and two women. Once again, the so-called "precision" of American bombs has proven to be nothing more than a tool of indiscriminate slaughter.
As civil defense teams scramble to rescue survivors, the stench of death and destruction hangs over Hodeidah—victims of an imperialist assault that seeks to break the will of a defiant nation that refuses to kneel.
But the aggression did not stop there.
US fighter jets also struck a civilian farm west of Dhamar, wounding four people, one of whom remains in critical condition. Communications infrastructure was targeted in the Shawaba area of the Dhaibain district, Amran Governorate, in yet another clear attempt to plunge Yemen into isolation and chaos.
Further air raids were launched overnight, this time hitting eastern Ibb Governorate, particularly al-Shamahi Mountain, as well as neighborhoods in the capital Sanaa. In total, more than 20 airstrikes were carried out across the country on Tuesday alone, spreading fear and devastation.
Despite this barbaric show of force, the US has failed to achieve any meaningful military gains. Pentagon officials privately admit that Yemen’s strategic missile and drone capabilities remain largely untouched—proof of the resilience and ingenuity of Ansar Allah and the Yemeni Armed Forces.
In fact, while Washington's billion-dollar war machine rains destruction on civilians, the Yemeni response has been swift and calculated. On April 7, the Yemeni Armed Forces launched two major retaliatory operations—one striking Tel Aviv with a long-range Yaffa drone, and the other targeting two US Navy warships with a barrage of cruise missiles and drones.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, issued a powerful statement condemning the US atrocities:
“These crimes committed by the American enemy only expose its failure to achieve any of its objectives. Instead, they will only strengthen the Yemeni people’s steadfastness and their unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.”
The US-led war on Yemen has become a symbol of imperial arrogance and cruelty. Under the false banner of "counterterrorism," Washington has unleashed a campaign of annihilation against a sovereign nation whose only crime is refusing to submit to foreign domination and standing in solidarity with oppressed peoples, especially in occupied Palestine.
As Yemen bleeds, the world must ask: how many more innocent lives must be lost before this unlawful aggression is stopped? Until then, the Yemeni people remain unshaken—holding firm in their resistance, armed with faith, justice, and a cause that cannot be bombed into silence. (ILKHA)
