A Russian passenger plane en route from the Black Sea resort of Sochi to the Siberian city of Omsk was forced to make an emergency landing in a Siberian field.

The incident involved a Ural Airlines Airbus A320 carrying 167 people on board, including 159 passengers and six crew members.

Authorities swiftly responded to the situation, and fortunately, there were no reported injuries during the emergency landing.

Russia's aviation agency, Rosaviatsia, revealed that the emergency landing was executed on a carefully chosen site near the village of Kamenka, located within the Novosibirsk region. The agency confirmed that the landing was necessitated by a technical problem with the aircraft.

All passengers have been relocated to the nearest village for their safety and well-being, according to Rosaviatsia.

In response to the incident, Russia's Investigative Committee, responsible for probing major crimes, has initiated a criminal investigation into the violation of air traffic safety rules. This investigation will delve into the circumstances surrounding the emergency landing and the technical issues encountered by the aircraft.
