Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, denounced the decision by the U.S. Treasury Department to impose sanctions on two Afghan officials.

Mujahid condemned the decision of the U.S. Treasury Department to sanction Sheikh Fareduddin Mahmoud, the head of the General Academy of Sciences, and Sheikh Mohammad Khalid Hanafi, Acting Minister of Vice and Virtue.

Highlighting what he deemed as the futility of relying on failed methods, Mujahid pointed to America's history of unsuccessful endeavors. He firmly asserted that applying pressure and resorting to sanctions would not provide effective solutions to any problem.

Mujahid also took the opportunity to criticize the United States for its own record on human rights violations. He pointed to U.S. support for the illegal occupation of Palestine by israel, asserting that accusing others of human rights violations and imposing sanctions on them was unjustifiable and illogical according to the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate.
