Iran launches missile strikes on Haifa in response to Israeli attacks

Iran’s Armed Forces conducted precise missile strikes on Haifa, a major industrial and port city in northern Israel, in retaliation for recent Israeli attacks on Iranian infrastructure.
The strikes, described as a "decisive and calculated response," targeted military and strategic sites, causing significant damage.
At least three missiles struck Haifa, damaging two buildings and igniting large fires near critical facilities, including the Haifa oil refinery. Thick plumes of smoke were reported rising from the impact zones. Emergency services in Israel confirmed dozens of injuries, including settlers and security personnel, with casualties suffering from smoke inhalation, debris-related wounds, and panic-related symptoms.
The Iranian military stated that the strikes were a direct response to Israel’s attacks on Iranian energy and scientific facilities, which Iran considers acts of war under international law. A military spokesperson warned that further retaliation would follow if Israeli aggression continues.
The Haifa operation coincided with reported strikes on other Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Rehovot, signaling coordinated efforts by Iran and its allies in the region. Analysts suggest the strikes underscore Iran’s growing military capabilities and its resolve to counter Israeli actions.
The attacks have heightened tensions, with Iran asserting its deterrence posture while Israel grapples with the aftermath. The strikes mark a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict, raising concerns about further regional instability. (ILKHA)
