Iran cracks down on Mossad spy network, arrests five in Lorestan

Iranian authorities have announced the arrest of multiple individuals accused of espionage and sabotage on behalf of the Zionist regime’s Mossad intelligence agency.
The operations, led by the elite intelligence division of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), have dealt a decisive blow to Israel’s covert campaign of destabilization inside the Islamic Republic.
In the latest operation, five suspects were apprehended in Lorestan province, a strategic region in western Iran. According to IRGC intelligence officials, the detainees were allegedly operating under direct orders from Mossad, carrying out surveillance and planning acts of sabotage in the cities of Khorramabad, Borujerd, and Dorud.
The IRGC stated that the arrests are part of a broader campaign to dismantle hostile intelligence networks and prevent infiltration by Zionist agents. “This is a clear message to the enemies of the Islamic Republic—your agents will be caught, your plans will fail, and your operations will be neutralized,” an IRGC spokesperson declared.
The arrests in Lorestan come amid a broader national counter-intelligence crackdown launched on June 14, following increased threats against Iranian military and civilian targets. On June 15, two individuals were arrested in Savojbolagh County, Alborz Province, also on suspicion of espionage for Mossad.
That same day, authorities carried out a major raid south of Tehran in Rey, where they uncovered a clandestine drone-bomb factory. The facility—allegedly directed by Mossad operatives—contained 200 kilograms of explosives, 23 drones, launch platforms, and components for suicide drones. Security forces arrested at least 28 suspects linked to the operation, who were found to be producing booby traps, remote-detonation devices, and advanced sabotage materials.
On June 17, Iranian intelligence uncovered custom-built launchers for Israeli Spike missiles, concealed and automated for remote control via internet protocols—an alarming discovery that indicates an effort to target and suppress Iranian air defenses. These launchers, officials said, were tied to Mossad’s broader agenda of weakening the Islamic Republic’s defensive capabilities through indirect warfare and cyber sabotage.
In a parallel operation on the same day, security forces in Esfahan Province raided an illegal drone assembly site. Authorities confiscated a cache of drone parts and micro-UAVs. Four individuals, identified as “mercenaries of the Zionist regime,” were arrested. The materials seized were intended for reconnaissance and subversive attacks, officials reported.
These successful operations signal Tehran’s heightened readiness to confront foreign espionage amid the ongoing conflict with the Zionist entity. Iranian security officials have vowed to expand their efforts to root out internal threats, protect national infrastructure, and defend the sovereignty of the Islamic Republic against foreign aggression.
The Ministry of Intelligence warned all foreign-backed agents and collaborators: “Your betrayal will not go unanswered. Our response will be precise, legal, and devastating to your networks.” (ILKHA)
