Hamas: Israeli-American aid points are death traps killing hundreds in Gaza

Hamas has denounced an Israeli-American aid distribution mechanism as a lethal scheme disguised as humanitarian relief, claiming it has led to the deaths of at least 454 Palestinians and injured 3,466 others in less than a month.
In a statement issued Monday, Hamas described the aid points as "calculated death traps" intended to lure desperate civilians into targeted zones of attack. The group accused Israel and the United States of using the aid mechanism as part of a broader strategy to starve, humiliate, and eradicate Palestinians in Gaza, labeling the operation a continuation of an ongoing genocide.
Hamas criticized the international community's silence as complicit and called for immediate intervention to halt the massacres carried out under global cover. The group demanded a new, UN-supervised humanitarian delivery system independent of Israeli control and urged international bodies to pursue war crimes proceedings against Israeli leaders for atrocities primarily affecting women and children.
The aggression, intensified by Israel's assault on Gaza beginning October 7, 2023, has resulted in over 187,000 Palestinian casualties, with more than 11,000 missing and hundreds of thousands displaced. Gaza’s infrastructure lies in ruins amid a relentless siege and bombardment.
Hamas renewed its appeal for urgent global action to end the violence and protect Gaza’s two million residents facing dire humanitarian conditions. (ILKHA)
