The Maghreb “Resilience Convoy,” a major international initiative demanding the immediate opening of the Rafah Border Gate and an end to the Israeli-imposed blockade on Gaza, is gaining momentum as it advances through Egypt toward the besieged enclave.

Organized under the banner of global solidarity, the convoy brings together a diverse coalition of activists, politicians, and humanitarian leaders from around the world. Participants describe the march as both a humanitarian mission and a moral stand against the ongoing siege that has inflicted immense suffering on the people of Gaza.

From Türkiye, notable participants include HÜDA PAR Mersin MP Faruk Dinç, Hope Caravan Foundation Vice President Erdal Elibüyük, and Vice President of ITTIHADUL ULEMA, Molla Abdulkudus Yalçın.

“We are in Egypt... marching to raise the honour of humanity and to open the Rafah Border Gate,” MP Dinç stated on social media. “We will not remain silent in the face of the massacre of innocent children in Gaza. We will not stop until the genocide ends and Gaza and Jerusalem are free.”

Hope Caravan’s Erdal Elibüyük offered updates on the convoy’s progress: “We are leaving Cairo and heading toward Ismailia. The Egyptian government is supporting this peaceful initiative. Inshallah, this blessed march will bring global attention to Gaza.”

Molla Abdulkudus Yalçın also urged international support, saying: “We will begin the march soon. May Allah make this effort instrumental in the salvation of Gaza. Do not neglect your prayers.”

The Rafah crossing remains a critical lifeline for over two million Palestinians living under relentless bombardment and siege. The Resilience Convoy calls for unrestricted humanitarian aid access and the immediate lifting of the blockade, which has led to catastrophic shortages of food, medicine, and essential supplies.

Organizers emphasized that the movement transcends regional politics, describing it as a universal call to uphold human dignity and international law. “This is not just regional activism. This is a collective stand against war crimes, occupation, and genocide,” the organizers said in a joint statement.

As the convoy continues toward Rafah, new participants from across the globe are expected to join, amplifying calls for international action and solidarity with Gaza. The march is seen as a growing symbol of hope and resistance in the face of ongoing oppression. (ILKHA)
